    A. HortiSafe™ is a range of Occupational Health and Safety training products specifically for the Australian Horticultural Industry.

  • Q. How do I know HortiSafe™ courses will be relevant to my industry?

    A. Courses are designed for specific industries within Horticulture.

  • Q. Who is HortiSafe™ for?

    A. HortiSafe™ is for any farm that needs to train its current staff or needs to train staff on an on-going basis, especially those with influxes of casual or part time staff during peak periods.

  • Q. Who is behind HortiSafe™?

    A. HortiSafe™ is a product of Mentor Training (Agriculture) Pty Ltd, a division of Mentor Training (Aust.) Pty Ltd. All courses are developed in partnership with industry and OH&S specialists.

  • Q. Does a farm have to have a qualified trainer to deliver HortiSafe™ courses?

    A. No. Any manager, supervisor or suitably experienced employee can deliver HortiSafe™ courses. Each HortiSafe™ kit contains materials for guidance and instruction for trainers.

  • Q. A starter kit contains materials for five staff, but my farm employs many more than this. How can I train more staff?

    A. Additional licences and training materials can be purchased at any time.

  • Q. HortiSafe™ doesn't currently have a course for my industry. What can I do?

    A. Mentor Training (Agriculture) Pty Ltd is currently researching and developing several new courses. Contact us to express interest in a course for your industry.

  • Q. Can HortiSafe™ custom design a course or parts of a course for my particular needs?

    A. Yes. Contact us and all your specific needs can be discussed.

  • Q. I need to train staff but need a lot of flexibility in how it’s done. What are my options?

    A. We recommend using the on-line courses which can be accessed from any computer connected to the internet via broadband connection. Alternatively contact us to discuss you specific needs.

  • Q. My farm employs staff who don't have English as a first language. What can I do?

    A. HortiSafe™ courses are available in several languages. Contact us to discuss your needs.
